In 2022, NextGen launched a basketball and shoe drive to support disadvantaged South Sudanese communities in East Africa. We successfully shipped over 260 pairs of basketball shoes and 50 basketballs to Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan. Our mission was to provide these communities with the necessary equipment to enjoy and excel in basketball, while also instilling a sense of hope and fostering the development of strong, capable leaders regardless of their circumstances.
By delivering basketballs and shoes to local programs, we aimed to not only enhance the physical resources available but also to inspire and empower the youth. NextGen is committed to continuing these initiatives, strengthening the connection between our members in Australia and those back home in Africa. Through these efforts, we strive to bridge the gap and build a united, supportive network that transcends borders.
