WHO ARE YOU?

Established in 2021, NextGen Unite is a unique not-for-profit organisation that aims to develop young leaders within the South Sudanese Australian community. NGU focuses on four strategic pillars: 

CULTURE, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, TALENT 

Our organisation delivers a range of tailored programs designed to foster resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging within the community. Through structured initiatives, we engage and support young people in unlocking their full potential, equipping them with the skills, networks, and confidence needed to thrive.

NextGen Unite delivers education programs that are practical, culturally grounded, and built around sport. We support young people to thrive academically and personally by making learning meaningful, supportive, and connected to their identity and future goals.

We create real pathways into the sports and community sectors by connecting young people with training, mentoring, and industry experience. Whether it’s on the field, in leadership, health, media, or support roles — NextGen Unite helps young people turn passion into lasting careers.  

At NextGen Unite, culture is at the core of everything we do. We work alongside the community to create culturally safe and inclusive environments where young people feel seen, respected, and proud of who they are. Through story, connection, and shared identity, we help youth build strong cultural foundations that guide them forward. 

We nurture talent on and off the field by supporting young people to grow in confidence, character, and capability. Through mentoring, leadership development, and elite pathways, NextGen Unite helps build strong role models who lead in sport, in culture, and in life.
