Our Story

Established in 2021, NextGen Unite is a dynamic, youth-led non-profit organization passionately dedicated to empowering South Sudanese Australians. Our mission is to create transformative opportunities for our community through a comprehensive range of initiatives that span EDUCATION, MENTORSHIP, SPORTS, and CULTURAL ACTIVITIES. We believe in fostering resilience, unity, and a sense of belonging among our members, ensuring that every individual has the tools and support they need to thrive.

At NextGen Unite, we envision a future where South Sudanese Australians are celebrated for their contributions and are fully integrated into the broader Australian society. We strive to build a community where every young person has the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential, supported by a strong network of mentors, educators, and peers.

Education is at the heart of our mission. We offer a variety of programs designed to support academic achievement and lifelong learning. From tutoring and homework assistance to workshops on career planning and higher education, we aim to equip our youth with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their educational journeys and beyond.

Our mentorship programs connect young South Sudanese Australians with experienced professionals and community leaders who provide guidance, support, and inspiration. Through one-on-one mentoring relationships, we help our youth navigate the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood, build confidence, and develop the leadership skills necessary for future success.

We recognize the powerful role that sports play in promoting physical health, teamwork, and a sense of community. Our sports initiatives offer opportunities for young people to engage in a variety of athletic activities, from soccer and basketball to track and field. These programs not only encourage physical fitness but also foster discipline, teamwork, and a positive competitive spirit.

Preserving and celebrating our rich cultural heritage is a vital part of our work. We organize cultural events, workshops, and festivals that highlight the traditions, music, dance, and art of South Sudan. These activities provide a platform for our youth to connect with their roots, express their identities, and share their culture with the wider community.
